В 1917-1918 — член Української Центральної Ради. 13 листопада 1918 на чолі козацького загону імені Івана Гонти, сформованого з наддніпрянських українців, прибув на допомогу галицьким військам у Львів.
Брав участь в українсько-польській війні 1918—1919. З кінця 1918 командував Янівською (другою) бригадою УГА, яка відзначилась у боях з польскими частинами на підступах до Львова, в ході Вовчухівської операції 1919 та Чортківського наступу 1919
З грудня 1919 до травня 1920 — начальник штабу Армії УНР під час Першого Зимового походу. 1920 року командував 5-ю Херсонською дивізією Армії УНР.
У 1942 році очолював Українське Визвольне Військо, що формувалось у складі сухопутних сил німецької армії (Вермахту). З 1943 року призначений командиром Запорізького загону Українського Вільного Козацтва (Ost-Nachschub-Bataillon 651) у складі Вермахту, який у 1945 р. увійшов до складу 2-ї Української дивізії УНР Українська Національна Армія.
У 1944 році- член Козацького штабу генерала А.Шкуро, співробітничав із А.Власовим.
Після 1945 року емігрував до Латинської Америки.Помер 6 вересня 1976 р., похований у Куритибі, штат Парана, Бразилія.

In 1917-1918 - a member of the Ukrainian Central Council. November 13, 1918 Dolud with Ivan Gonta Cossack detachment, formed from Dnieper Ukrainian, under his command arrived to help the Galician troops in Lviv.
He took part in the Ukrainian-Polish war of 1918-1919. From the end of 1918, he was a commander of the Janovski (the second) brigade of the UGA, which distinguished itself in battles with the Polish units on the outskirts of Lviv, during the Vovchuhivsk operation of 1919 and the Chortkiv offensive of 1919.
From December 1919 to May 1920 - Chief of Staff of the UNR’s Army during the First Winter Campaign. In 1920 Andrii Dolud was a commander of the 5th Kherson Division of the UNR’s Army.
In 1942 he commanded the Ukrainian Liberation Army, which was formed as part of the German army (Wehrmacht). From 1943, he was appointed a commander of the Zaporizhian detachment of the Ukrainian Free Cossacks (Ost-Nachschub-Bataillon 651) in the Wehrmacht, which in 1945 became a part of the 2nd Ukrainian Division of the Ukrainian National Army (UNA).
In 1944, Andrii Dolud became a member of the Cossack’s Staff of General A. Shkuro, which collaborated with A.Vlasov.
After the end of the Second World War, he moved to Latin America. Andrii Dolud died on September 6, 1976, was buried in Curitiba, Parana state, Brazil.
