У критичній точці, моменті чи виборі принцип найменшої дії не спрацьовує. Він не призводить до безпеки, до мінімальних негативних наслідків тому що старі правила змінилися і ніхто вже не може сказати, що є "безпечним".
Заєць у світлі фар. Світ на порозі Другої світової війни. Ні: вoнo не працює.
Нерішучість, бездіяльність або недостатні дії можуть бути настільки ж небезпечними як і неправильні дії; або навіть більше. Тому що коли ви дієте, ви будуєте впевненість навіть якщо не вдається; і ворог знає що ви можете і будете діяти.
Боягузливою бездіяльністю, яку ви можете назвати "обережністю", ви знекровлюєте волю і рішучість боротися, в той час як ворог будує впевненість що ви не зможетe. Проти вас працює кожен хиткий крок.
У критичний момент правильна відповідь не в дрібних кроках, а в правильних. Нерішучість і слабкість волі та рішучості призводили до найгірших, іноді катастрофічних наслідків.

Indecision at a critical moment is not called "prudence". It is called: recklessness
At a critical point, moment, or choice the principle of least action does not work. It does not lead to safety; minimal negative consequences because the old rules have changed and no one can tell anymore what is "safe".
Hare in the headlights. World on the verge of WWII. No: it does not work.
Indecision, inaction or insufficient action can be as dangerous as a wrong action; or even more. Because when you act, you also build confidence even if it fails; and the enemy knows that you can, and will act.
With cowardly inaction that some may call "caution", you bleed the will and resolve to fight, while the enemy builds the confidence that you wouldn't. And so, it works against you every shaky, uncertain step.
At a critical point, and moment the correct answer is not in the small steps but in the right ones. Indecision and weakness of will and resolve led to the worst; sometimes catastrophic consequences.
This time, you could not pretend to not know.
